Four fire departments called in the food burned in an oven around 9:30 a.m. At the same time, several rescue vehicles, the ambulance and the police were alerted.
The kindergarten teachers had reacted correctly in advance and immediately evacuated two group rooms in the kindergarten before calling the emergency number.
When the emergency services arrived a little later, they removed the burned food from the kitchen corner of the kindergarten. All the children were unharmed and a teacher was taken to a Linz hospital on suspicion of smoke poisoning.
