Only 50 percent revenue replacement, still no solution for indirectly affected companies
Vienna (OTS) – “Planning security looks different! In November, restaurants and hotels received an 80 percent billing replacement, yesterday they found out from a press conference that they are also not allowed to open in December and only receive a 50 percent billing replacement, “explains Christoph Matznetter, President of the Social Democratic Business Association (SWV). He refers to the press conference to specify the crown measures, in the course of which the Minister of Finance, Blümel, also extended the compensation for sales for restaurants and hotels up to Dec. 31. Announced. However, only 50 percent of sales in the same month last year will be replaced in December. “Now we’re a long way from ‘cost what it takes,'” says Matznetter.
“But no matter how high the revenue replacement is for these industries, it is still much higher than for the indirectly affected companies. They still get nothing because the finance minister cannot find a suitable system. It simply explains over and over how difficult it is to compensate those affected indirectly. But just because something is complicated, you can’t let these entrepreneurs down, ”Matznetter demands. Suppliers doing business with closed industries, for example, are indirectly affected by the lockdown.
“Our businessmen were not to blame for the closure. Therefore, each and every one of them is entitled to adequate compensation! I urge you once again to finally find solutions here, Minister Blümel, even if it may be complicated. The situation for these entrepreneurs has become much more complicated, completely through no fault of their own, ”concludes Matznetter.
