Three days after the 2020 Vienna elections, the final result is now available! The proportion of votes changed again with voting cards.
The final result of the Vienna elections is certain! Counting the mail-in ballots had taken longer than usual due to voting card registration and Corona’s strict security regulations. The SPÖ is the party with the highest number of votes in a total of 21 districts at the community level. In the city center and in Hietzing, the ÖVP is ahead.
The final result, including voting cards:
SPÖ 41.6 percent (+ 2.0)
FPÖ: 7.1 percent (- 23.7)
Greens: 14.8 percent (+ 2.9)
ÖVP: 20.4 percent (+ 11.2)
NEOS: 7.5 percent (+ 1.3)
TEAM HC: 3.3 percent
Mandate
The electoral authority has already announced the fulfilled mandates. These look like this:
SPÖ: 46 (+ 2)
FPÖ: 8 (- 26)
Greens: 16 (+ 6)
ÖVP: 22 (+ 15)
NEOS: 8 (+ 3)
FPÖ behind NEOS
The evaluation of the voting cards resulted in a slight deterioration of the SPÖ’s results. ÖVP, Greens and NEOS, on the other hand, grew quite a bit.
For the FPÖ, the votes on the voting cards also did not bring any improvement, now it is even behind the NEOS. The HC Strache team also continued to lose ground and only came in with 3.3 percent. The turnout was 65.27 percent.
