In the past few weeks, Maximilian Wöber and company have been sweating especially during home training or during countless races in and around Mozart city.
Lawn training for Wöber “liberator”
The Salzburg defense chief sums up the return (watch the video below) to training camp as follows: “Above all, I was happy to score a goal, even if I still can’t cut it. Motivation to run alone in the forest became less and less. The first training session was liberating. ” Coach Jesse Marsch is primarily concerned with restoring players’ fitness. “We can also talk a little bit about tactics, but it’s not that easy. We don’t have an opponent,” said the American, regarding the division of the players, who must also act without contact within the small group. “You have to be a little creative,” said Marsch.

Friend in exchange for other sports directors.
For sports director Christoph Freund it was a very intense moment with many videoconferences: “It is a new and unusual situation. I have always been in contact with German clubs that are one step ahead of us. We have exchanged important findings.” The sports director has to answer two basic questions first. “How will ghost games work and what happens if a player or team member becomes infected with the corona virus?
For Freund it was important that in such a case the team did not withdraw and the championship was abandoned. He and the policemen want to determine the teacher on the green grass. “Soccer is a very important area that can bring people back fun and excitement,” said Freund.
Safety distance during training
The training of the first two groups, one at the training center in Taxham, the other at Red Bull Arena, takes place at different locations. The first two groups train in the morning, the other two groups in the afternoon.
Co-trainers Rene Aufhauser and Fränky Schiemer each train two of these groups. Only Jesse Marsch and Tormann coach Herbert llsanker are involved in all training groups, always with the required safety distance, as stated in a club message.
Negative Salzburg crown tests
Before the first training, players, coaches and supervisors had to be tested for the coronavirus. To date, all of these tests have been negative.
Bundesliga is waiting for the starting signal
When the Bundesliga will resume it is still in the stars. Austria’s highest football box office has been completely closed for over a month. It seems likely that it will start again in mid-May, but without viewers.
