The man wanted to change the front left tire of a truck in Redlham (Vöcklabruck district) that afternoon with the help of his 28-year-old son. For unknown reasons, the truck fell off the jack and caught the man who was lying under the truck on his upper body, as Redlham police reported late at night. Together with an attendant who had approached, the son lifted the truck again with the help of the jack and removed the victim.
The two immediately provided first aid and began the rescue chain. First the policemen and then the ambulance took over the resuscitation measures. However, these were unsuccessful and the man succumbed to his serious injuries at the crash site.
