Workplace: The end of the summer holidays and the increased profitability of the home office is clearly visible. 15.6 percent of clusters are created at work. Recently, an increase in the number of infections was noted at a parcel service provider in Upper Austria; 60 infections have already been confirmed. There is also a smaller group in a hotel in Styria.
Returning tourists: Still in third place with 11.6 percent. AGES experts predict this will decrease with the start of school.
Free time activities: Currently in fourth place in conglomeration formation (7.6 percent). Unfortunately, there is potential for much more, to see night food in Innsbruck with 70 cases or a presentation at the private MUK university in Vienna, where there were 46 infections. In Lower Austria, 31 infections were reported on Tuesday after a “pint of twilight” at an inn, a case at a nightspot in Krems led to 15 more infections. Also in Graz, there was recently an alarm due to an infected person in a club: 220 people had to be quarantined; fortunately, there were only six other infections.
Politics is also affected, although without the formation of a group: an ÖVP mandate in Lower Austria tested positive, five people had to be quarantined. The mayor of SPÖ de Ybbs, Alois Schroll, is also infected: the follow-up of contact persons continues after Schroll was also at a football match and attended a local event.
