The agents noticed the car occupied by the four young men in the Lend district. When they wanted to verify that the prisoners were complying with crown regulations, the 16-year-old driver sped off. The patrol resumed the chase, but lost visual contact with the vehicle. Meanwhile, an inquiry turned out that the license plates mounted on the car had been stolen. Another patrol discovered the vehicle in the courtyard of a residential building in Bienengasse. The car was empty and the plates were missing. A small amount of cannabis was found during the search.

The youngest was only 12 years old

Soon after, officers found a 16-year-old man hiding behind a tree and arrested him. As it turned out, he was the owner of the off-road car. A little later, the uniformed officers discovered the license plates and also investigated the other inmates. There was a 16-year-old, a 17-year-old and a 12-year-old, all of whom lived in Graz. All of the young people (an Afghan, a Chechen and two children with a migratory background) were reported for various crimes or the incident was reported to the authorities youth wellness. Until now, the police shouldn’t have noticed them.
