Police officers made a total of eleven complaints, five of them under the Covid Ordinance and six under other administrative provisions.
A demonstration against the crown measures at Heldenplatz in Vienna, registered for around 15,000 people, only drew about 200 participants on Saturday afternoon. The demonstration passed in silence and the participants adhered to the protection measures of the crown, according to the police. However, there were eleven reports.
The police had already screened the groups on the way to the rally in advance and showed their presence. On the national holiday, numerous violations of the Covid 19 Measures Law were recorded during a demonstration against the crown measures in central Vienna, but the meeting did not break up. The police and the Vienna Health Authority (MA 15) transferred responsibility to each other. For Saturday’s demonstration it was agreed that an MA 15 expert in the police task force would assess the situation at this time. That worked fine.
