Eight men rob teens with knives and swords

Vienna A 17-year-old boy was attacked in August in a park in Vienna-Floridsdorf by a group of eight armed with a sword and knives. The young man fell after a blow, after which the entire gang kicked the lying man, police said Tuesday.

The immediate search after an attack on the afternoon of August 21 at the Floridsdorf water park, a public facility on the Old Danube, was unsuccessful at the time. Now, the prosecutor released wanted photos that had been obtained by the State Criminal Police Office from video surveillance in the vicinity of the crime scene. Police spokesman Christopher Verhnjak reported that the victim was alone in the water park shortly before 4 p.m. when she was surrounded by the group. Therefore, the attackers demanded money and one hit the 17-year-old in the face, who then fell. Two of the men had knives, another a sword. Immediately afterwards, the young man reported the attack to the closest inspection.
