When the Serb was arrested, he was after the officers when they arrested him.
A police patrol learned of a driver (31) on Saturday night around midnight in Steinbauergasse (Vienna-Meidling).
When the officers tried to stop and control the Serbian driver, the 31-year-old did not stop, but instead stepped on the gas and accelerated the police officers, who immediately began to pursue them.
On the run, he crashed into several red lights
“The 31-year-old man accelerated his car to a speed of up to 140 km / h, ran several red lights and put other road users in danger,” said police spokesman Daniel Fürst.
At Steinbauergasse, the police finally managed to stop the fleeing driver. When the handlebars got out of his car, he finally turned all the way around and tried to attack police with punches and kicks.
The Serb, who did not have a driver’s license and had used cocaine before driving, was arrested and reported a total of 35 times, among other things for attempted resistance, attempted serious bodily injury and in accordance with the narcotics law.
