RZ Pellets WAC is still in the running for promotion to the knockout stage of the Europa League. The Carinthians won 1-0 in a blizzard against CSKA Moscow on Thursday with a dream goal from Slovenian Dario Vizinger in the 22nd minute. With seven points, WAC ranks second in Group K behind leaders Dinamo Zagreb.
The Croats remain unbeaten after a 2-0 win at Feyenoord Rotterdam and lead the group with eleven points. WAC need at least a draw against Feyenoord (five points) in the final group match next Thursday in Klagenfurt to secure promotion. It would be a first in the history of the Carinthian club.

Unlike WAC, LASK had to give up the last hopes of entering the spring of football in their home game against Tottenham Hotspur. At the Gugl, Upper Austria played 3: 3 after leading 1-0. However, this giveaway is not sufficient for promotion.
LASK should have won the match against the leaders of the English Premier League to keep the last chance of the knockout phase. Peter Michorl (42.) gave coach Dominik Thalhammer’s team the lead with a long-range shot, but Gareth Bale equalized with a penalty hand in first-half injury time.
In the second half, Son Heung Min closed off a counterattack to make it 2-1 (56th) for Tottenham. Johannes Eggestein (82nd) managed to equalize for LASK, before Dele Alli (84th) put the North Londoners back 3-2 against coach José Mourinho. In the 93rd minute, Mamoudou Karamoko scored the goal 3: 3, the conciliatory conclusion for the Upper Austrians.
