Donald Trump announces press conference at luxury hotel instead of industrial area

Donald Trump has often caused confusion with strange comments on Twitter. This time, however, he must have irritated some of his own supporters: He first announced a press conference at the “Four Seasons” luxury hotel in Philadelphia, only to later repeatedly change the event location in various tweets, as reported by the “Independent”. Finally, he wrote that the conference would be held at the Four Seasons landscaping company.

There were no further explanations for the choice of location. It was unclear if the wrong location was booked in error or if Trump was misinformed.

The actual location caused more irritation among the participants. The journalists who reported on the press conference could hardly believe it: the images and videos on social media show them looking at the surroundings in disbelief. Chain-link fences block access to the backyards of an industrial area and a lectern has been installed in front of a garage door. Large areas of Donald Trump’s election campaign posters are taped to the door. Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, spoke there.

Journalist Richard Hall described his impressions as follows: “I came to the ‘Four Seasons’ nursery. It is next to an adult bookstore called ‘Fantasy Island.’

SkyNews reporter Mark Stone reported that Trump’s team attempted to set aside the landscaping equipment before the conference began. “A somewhat surreal place …”, he wrote about the location.

Shortly before the press conference began, Joe Biden had been declared the winner of the US presidential election. Trump had previously tweeted: “I won the election by length!”
