Around 203,000 people have requested help since the introduction of the Corona emergency fund, for which 700 million euros have been spent. On average, around 1,200 euros were last disbursed (between September 16 and October 15, 2020). The application completion rate is almost one hundred percent, according to current figures from the Chamber of Commerce for October.
According to a survey by KMU Research Austria (from mid-July to the end of August 2020), 57 percent of UPRs made use of state support measures in relation to the Corona crisis. Almost all of these entrepreneurs used the emergency fund established by the government. There were also significantly fewer requests for tax and duty deferrals (36 percent), installment payments or deferral of social security contributions (35 percent), and fixed-cost subsidies (29 percent). The use of loan guarantees (9 percent) plays a very minor role for EPU, according to the APA.
