Forward Sasa Kalajdzic gave VfB Stuttgart a successful end to the year and led his team to the knockout stages of the DFB Cup. Thanks to a goal from team player ÖFB in the 15th minute, the Swabians beat Baden rival SC Freiburg 1-0 (1-0) on Wednesday. Philipp Lienhart played with the guests.

Kalajdzic once again emphasized his best form. In the other scenes of this cup duel it was mostly dangerous when the 23-year-old was involved (minutes 19, 22 and 71).

Victories for Wolfsburg, Bremen

VfL Wolfsburg also reached the round of 16. Fourth place in the Bundesliga table defeated SV Sandhausen despite Corona’s concerns and numerous failures – among other things missing Xaver Schlager, who was quarantined as a contact person – deserved 4-0.
Yannick Gerhardt (27th), Wout Weghorst (30th, 91st and Joao Victor (41st) scored the goals for coach Oliver Glasner’s superior team, who put ÖFB Pavao Pervan’s goal back on the bench.
Werder Bremen won 3-0 in Hannover, with Marco Friedl absent due to injury. There was no sense of accomplishment for Austrians Kevin Danso and Christoph Klarer with Fortuna Düsseldorf. The ÖFB duo and their club finished 2: 3 at RW Essen.
