Demo dissolution ends with arrest of participants – Vienna

A Corona demonstration in Vienna, which was banned by the authorities, which nevertheless took place on Friday and had around 200 participants, has intensified. Despite repeated requests, participants who protested the government’s crown measures refused to leave the site, violated the security distance, and hardly wore protective masks. Police officers were booed and booed.

An arrest, many announcements

Even when the police began to identify themselves and take videos and photos, some of the participants continued to wait at Albertinaplatz. A man was shot down by the police and temporarily arrested. Organizers and some participants will also be shown, due to the possible spread of communicable and life-threatening diseases.

Right-wing extremists and conspiracy theorists

According to observers, the demonstration attracted in part a far-right audience and prescribed conspiracy theories. Martin Sellner, head of the far-right Identity Movement, was also there. The organizer, the ICI evidence-based crown information initiative, reacted defiantly to the resolution: A large rally was announced for the Federal Chancellery next Friday.
