The night session of the quarterfinals of the Darts World Cup has to offer two very interesting matches.
Dave Chisnall is responsible for the big surprise and not only takes the world number 1 out of the tournament with Michael van Gerwen, but also humiliates the Dutchman with a 5-0 victory.
The Englishman, who lost the last 27 games against “Mighty Mike”, is playing at an incredible level. He delivers an average of 107.34 in the match, 116.12 in the fourth set; the latter is the second highest value ever released in a World Cup. “MvG” alone contrasts his 14,180 recordings with four of his own. In the middle, “Chizzy” also missed a nine darts per millimeter.
For the first time since 2016, Van Gerwen is not at least in the semi-finals. There Chisnall, number eight in the tournament, meets Suljovic’s Scottish conqueror Gary Anderson (13).
Price wins thriller against Gurney
Before that, Gerwyn Price and Daryl Gurney fought a nervous battle, which went to the Welsh favorite with 5: 4 in sets (3: 2 in the deciding set).
The price is already 2: 0 and 4: 2 in sets, but every now and then let the nerves flail and the English returns. On the box, both counterparties with values around 35 percent each do not show outstanding performance.
Price will face outsider Stephen Bunting in the semifinals: Price is the third seeded, Bunting only 26.
Saturday’s semifinal begins at 7:00 pm (LIVE on DAZN), on Sunday the new world champion and successor to Peter Wright will be crowned.

Theatricality, exhibition game and EIGHT PERFECT DARTS! Is that one of the best legs we’ve seen on stage from Ally Pally?
