Vienna (OTS) So far there have been 125,099 positive test results in Austria. As of today (November 4, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 1,227 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 77,036 have recovered. Currently, 2,584 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 383 of them are in intensive care units.

New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:

Burgenland: 203

Carinthia: 426

Lower Austria: 880

Upper Austria: 1,510

Salzburg: 437

Steiermark: 461

Tyrol: 1,143

Vorarlberg: 306

Vienna: 845

Addendum to November 3 OTS: Due to technical problems, no new infections could be reported for Lower Austria yesterday. This was fixed and on November 3, 690 new infections were reported for Lower Austria. These are not included in today’s report on new infections.

The Ministry of Health dashboard is operated by the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) and can be accessed at the URL covid19-dashboard.ages.at. The dashboard extracts its data exclusively from the Epidemiological Population Registry (EMS) and is updated once a day at 2:00 pm EMS is the official registry that the district authorities and laboratories enter. The Federal Ministry of the Interior collects the figures as part of the coordination of the state crisis and disaster management in the Operations and Coordination Center (EKC) through a videoconference; These figures may contain cases that are not yet registered in the SGA.
