Vorarlberg, Tirol and Salzburg are changing curfew due to increased crown numbers. The gastronomy of events and nights is particularly affected, says catering spokesman Stefan Köb.
The curfew in Vorarlberg, Tirol and Salzburg will be brought forward at 10 pm. The reason for this is the increasing number of corona in the federal states.
The governors announced it in a joint transmission with the Foreign Ministry. The measure should initially be limited to three weeks and take effect on Friday.
But what do restaurateurs say about it? In particular, night caterers should not enjoy an early curfew. VOL.AT met with Stefan Köb, beach bar operator and deputy director of the catering division.
Existential problems
Köb is irritated by the short-term nature of the new curfew regulation. He himself also found out from the press. Above all, Köb sees the existence of night restaurateurs in danger. Catering for events also faces an existential problem. The Bregenz restaurateur now sees a challenge for politicians so that an entire industry is not extinguished. The event operators and the evening gastronomy must now receive a lot of support, demands Köb.
