Due to the increase in crown numbers, new adjustments are applied, which Chancellor Kurz really wanted to set weeks ago.

Vienna / Innsbruck. According to his own statement, Federal Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) wanted to react earlier to the renewed increase in corona infections. “It is true that I wanted to tighten the measures from the end of the summer,” he quotes Kurz in “Austria” Sunday. However, this was not his only decision, the chancellor referred to the differences of opinion with the Greens. At the same time, Kurz criticized the inadequate implementation of the measures: “I have the impression that some have underestimated the situation and did not implement the measures that would have been necessary in a timely manner,” Kurz said of the federal capital. At the same time, the Chancellor was convinced that the situation could return to normal in the summer of 2021.

Yoga classes and game nights

As of Monday, the new crown adjustments are in effect. For indoor events that are not professionally organized without assigned seating, only ten people are allowed. As the Ministry of Health made clear, the term event is interpreted restrictively in the case of leisure activities. The limit of ten people basically applies to “group social activities” that take place in closed rooms. Therefore, smaller cultural and sporting and leisure events that only offer standing space and no security concept will be limited to ten instead of the above 50 people. This applies to yoga classes, Zumba lessons, card rounds, and game nights, for example. The same also applies to weddings, film screenings, exhibitions, vernissages, congresses, training courses and higher education without any compelling professional need. The only exceptions are funerals. Fire and rescue services organizations are not affected by the additional training and training because they should have taken preventive measures against the spread of coronavirus during training long ago. You must also conduct fixed seat training courses and appoint a crown officer.

Starting Monday, a maximum of 100 people applies to group leisure activities. For professional events with a safety concept and fixed seating, the limit increases to 3,000 people, indoors to a maximum of 1,500. If the minimum distance of one meter cannot be maintained and there are no other protection devices such as plexiglass edges Mouth and nose protection should be worn on the seat. People who live in the same household are exempt from the distance rule.

All trade and public fairs must now be officially approved, they need a Covid 19 officer, a prevention concept, and trained employees. Regardless of whether the fair is held outdoors or in an enclosed space, an MNS mask should be worn. The same is true in markets. There is also a general requirement to wear a mask in indoor sports facilities, both for staff and clients. The protection of the mouth and nose can only be removed when playing sports.

Preparation for the ski season

Speaking of which: a zipline innovation should help save the ski season by removing corona viruses from the gondolas. It works by UV-C light, it was explained Sunday.

Meanwhile, the number of people infected with Sars-CoV-2 in Austria surpassed the 8,000 mark on Sunday, 8,100 people were infected. 621 new infections were added in 24 hours; there were 813 on Saturday. However, fewer tests are done on the weekend. (Red.)
