Crown in China | German pork knuckle triggers virus

[ad_1]

China has identified a pork knuckle imported from Germany as a trigger for a new case of corona. State media reported that a cold store worker in eastern China’s Tianjin city was infected. The tests then showed that traces of the virus had been discovered in the packaging of a frozen pork knuckle, which was initially imported from Bremen to Tianjin and from there to the city of Dezhou.

Eight people with whom the worker had previously had close contacts were quarantined as a precaution, according to the state newspaper “Global Times.” Tianjin has also entered “war mode,” which generally means that there are strict controls in place.

Corona in China: almost no new infection

According to the government, there have been hardly any new corona infections in China for months, so life and economic activity are returning to normal. Although much of the country is considered “crown-free”, there are always smaller local outbreaks that are fought with strict measures such as closures and mass testing. China has already blamed frozen food or its packaging imported from abroad for the infections on several occasions.

According to the Agency for Food Safety and Health (AGES), food is safe and cannot be considered a carrier of the new coronaviruses. “Meat, sausages, eggs, fruits, vegetables, water, etc. are not at risk from the new coronavirus,” AGES announced on its website. We highly recommend not eating raw meat or blood from wild animals such as snakes, bats, etc.
