The number of people infected after a Turkish wedding in Schrems continues to rise. Now there are 38 positive cases of corona.
A spokesperson for Health Councilor Ulrike Königsberger-Ludwig (SPÖ) told the APA on Friday that after 27 the day before, 38 people had already been infected. This means the number of crown patients in Schrems’ wedding group also grew on Friday.
According to “NÖN”, the Gmünder authority already speaks of 39 wedding guests or sick relatives in the district alone. However, since not all corona tests have been evaluated yet, the number of infected people could increase even more.
Visitor list given to police
How “Today” reported, up to 700 guests are said to have attended the Turkish wedding. Wedding visitors complain of nasty accusations and abuse. According to relatives, the list of visitors has already been handed over to the police.
Integration Minister Susanne Raab was beyond angry after the incident became known. “For me it is simply irresponsible in times of a global pandemic and, furthermore, contrary to the clear recommendations of the federal government, to organize such a large celebration, even if it is a wedding,” said the minister.
