Gregor Schlierenzauer refused to go to the materials check at the Dreikönigsspringen in Bischofshofen after a completely unsuccessful first jump and was later disqualified. This brought criticism from Schlierenzauer and an instruction from the ÖSV leadership.

Stecher: “That was definitely his mistake”

At ÖSV, they continue to believe in a return of Schlierenzauer to the top of the world, Stecher emphasized. “If we, as the Austrian Ski Association, did not trust Gregor to do that, we would not support him any more. It’s not very far, the training jumps prove it. “
The pressure on Schlierenzauer is mounting
However, Stecher also increased the pressure. “However, he has to work on himself, especially in the near future, and look for mistakes in himself,” he said in the direction of the Stubaiers, who will turn 31 on Thursday. “Only then will he be able to reach the top at some point.” At the World Cup, Schlierenzauer cannot go directly to problem solving.
