A total of 362 new corona infections were recorded in Vorarlberg on Friday.

After a negative record was recorded on Thursday with 803 new infections, the number on Friday was 362. At midnight, 4,601 people from Vorarlberg are currently actively infected with the corona virus. There were also three other deaths on Friday. Currently 184 people are being treated in hospitals, 34 of them in the intensive care unit. 282 regular beds and 14 intensive care beds are currently available.

Since the pandemic began in March, a total of 144,065 corona tests have been performed, of which 11,518 were positive. 6,854 people have recovered and 63 have died.

Districts

The most actively infected people are still in the Bregenz district (1604), followed by Dornbirn (1236), Feldkirch (1134d) and Bludenz (594).

Municipalities

At the community level, most of those actively infected are in Dornbirn, Lustenau, Bregenz and Feldkirch.

High incidence of 7 days

According to the crown board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg had the worst value of all Austrian federal states for the incidence of seven days per 100,000 inhabitants on Thursday. With 850 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, the state was ahead of Upper Austria (810) and Tyrol (707).

The Austrian average for the seven-day incidence was 554 on Friday.

The four Vorarlberg districts currently have a seven-day incidence of more than 661. The Vorarlberg “hotspot” with an incidence of 1037 remains the Dornbirn district.
