“The behavior of the club operators and guests cannot be tolerated,” criticized Walter Hillerer, head of the immediate measures group, in a broadcast on Saturday. In addition to the police and the urban emergency measures group, the financial police were also present during the checks.
When they reached the first nightclub, officials found around 400 people, mostly a young audience, the broadcast said. The dance floor was packed and hardly anyone wore mouth and nose protection. The concepts of prevention or a Covid 19 official were also not available.
In the second restaurant, the same image: there were more than 300 people celebrating, too many. The officially determined capacity was exceeded by almost 100 people. On the part of the guests and the operator, there was no understanding of the controls, they were also noted for their aggressive and uncooperative behavior.
Both clubs were evacuated due to the large number of guests, although some guests wanted to delay this process with their behavior. Here the police had to step in to provide support. Operators should expect high fines, it was announced on the broadcast.
There were a large number of advertisements for both event venues, in accordance with the COVID-19 Measures Act, the Events Act, the Overseas Employment Act, and unauthorized trading. Hillerer also announced on Saturday’s broadcast: “Together with the police we will intensify controls.”
