This “Covid-19 Regulation of the Landes of Salzburg” was announced yesterday Monday. It is effective as of today and will expire on October 18. Consequently, the restaurateur cannot allow customers to enter the business premises after 10 p.m.
Own regulation for hotels
“The stricter regulation of the curfew also applies to the entrance to the gastronomic facilities in the accommodation establishments, unless the entrance is made by guests of the accommodation,” states the state legal bulletin signed by Governor Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP ).
The 1 a.m. curfew applies to home guests, as stipulated by federal regulation, a Haslauer spokesman told the APA. He explained why the guests of the house were exempt from advancing the curfew. For example, if someone rents a hotel for a week, the hotel is that person’s home during this period, “and we do not intervene at home.” Salzburg and Vorarlberg have the same regulation, Tyrol, on the other hand, goes its own way.

The early 10 pm curfew in Salzburg also applies to food and beverage service at events, trade shows, and public events.
