Six Viennese students in quarantine

They are six children from the Vienna International School (VIS). At the private English-speaking school in Danube City, classes have been held since the beginning of this week.

Shortly after the start of the new school year at the Vienna International School, a case of Covid-19 was known there. A student tested positive for the virus Tuesday, according to the VIS home page. In consultation with the health authorities, six students from the private school must be quarantined for ten days, operations continue normally for all other students and teachers.

The VIS emphasizes in the letter that the risk of transmission of Covid-19 by the student who tested positive was “minimal” because a strict mask requirement is applied in the VIS. The newspapers “Krone” and “Österreich” reported on the case in their Wednesday editions.

In March, the VIS stopped working for two days after a Covid-19 infection was found in two external trainers. At the time, 17 employees were sent home in quarantine.
