Coronavirus: 772 new infections in Austria

So far there have been 44,813 positive results in Austria. To date, 799 people in Austria have died as a result of the coronavirus and 35,644 have recovered.

There are currently 496 people in hospital treatment, 90 of whom are in intensive care units.

Another death in Salzburg

The health department of the city of Salzburg reported on Wednesday another death related to Covid-19. The number of deaths in Salzburg rises to 41.

Coronavirus: new infections by federal state

New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:

• Burgenland: 17
• Carinthia: 23
• Lower Austria: 173
• Upper Austria: 96
• Salzburg: 36
• Steiermark: 10
• Tyrol: 66
• Vorarlberg: 24
• Vienna: 327

Almost constant active corona cases

The number of people actively infected with SARS-CoV-2 in Austria was almost unchanged on Wednesday at 8,370 compared to the previous day. There were 8,329 people. 772 new infections detected with 728 recoveries were compared and there were no major changes in the number of hospitalized patients with 496 people (plus five, at 9.30 am), the number of intensive care patients remained the same at 90.

Three more deaths

According to the Residential Epidemiological Register (EMS), 799 people in Austria died as a result of the corona virus, and three more Covid-19-related deaths occurred in 24 hours. Of the 44,813 who have tested positive since the pandemic outbreak in Austria, 35,644 have recovered, the Health Ministry and the Interior Ministry announced on Wednesday.
