34 positive tests and one death in Salzburg

In Austria, 714 corona positive tests were recorded on Sunday, the Health Ministry and the Interior Ministry reported in a broadcast. In Salzburg there were 34 new cases and one death.
To date, 813 people in Austria have died as a result of the coronavirus and 38,629 have recovered. There are currently 476 people in hospital treatment, 103 of them in intensive care units. The number of current confirmed positive cases was 8,704 on Sunday, down from 8,578 the day before.
Coronavirus: death in the city of Salzburg
Another Covid-19-related death was reported in the city of Salzburg. The number of deaths increases to 42.

New infections since the last report are distributed among the Austrian federal states as follows:
- Burgenland: 12
- Carinthia: 19
- Lower Austria: 134
- Upper Austria: 127
- Salzburg: 34
- Steiermark: 38
- Tyrol: 69
- Vorarlberg: 32
- Vienna: 249
