With 6,611 new infections and 104 more deaths from infected people, the daily number of coronavirus cases in Austria on Saturday (at 9.30am) remained stable. In Salzburg there were 612 new cases and 16 deaths.
Hospital occupancy decreased slightly at the start of the weekend from 32 Covid 19 patients to 4,597 patients, but among these there was an increase from 10 intensive care patients to a total of 697 patients. 76,883 people were considered active cases on Saturday, 239 more than on Friday.

In Salzburg, 16 more deaths related to Covid-19 were reported to health authorities. This increases the number of deaths to 115. These are distributed among the districts as follows:

Coronavirus: 25 patients in intensive care in Salzburg
There are currently 234 Covid-19 patients in the hospital, 25 of whom are being treated in the intensive care unit. 5,807 people are quarantined at home or have restricted traffic as contact persons.
