Coronavirus: 4,047 new infections in Austria

Additionally, 87 deaths were reported on Sunday, bringing the number to a total of 3,105. So far there have been 279,708 positive crown test results in Austria. Hospital numbers were virtually unchanged compared to the previous day: 4,251 (minus 28) people were treated in Austrian hospitals, of which 691 (plus 3) were in intensive care units.

Nine dead in Salzburg

In the state of Salzburg, nine more people have died in connection with the corona virus in the past 24 hours. Health authorities announced Sunday. This increases the number of deaths in the state to 162. These are patients between 75 and 94 years old.

25 people in intensive care units

In Salzburg hospitals, 236 infected people were treated on Sunday, 25 people were in intensive care units. Since Saturday, 345 people have tested positive for Covid-19. The number of actively infected people has decreased slightly due to recoveries. On Sunday, the number of active cases in Salzburg was 5,476, 218 less than the day before. By district, the most active infections are in Flachgau (1,501), followed by the city of Salzburg (1,398) and Pinzgau (1,267). In Pongau there were 639 active cases on Sunday, 470 in Tennengau and 201 in Lungau.
