Nine infections and hospital admissions
Torsten Bauer, head of the lung ward at the Helios Emil von Behring Clinic in Berlin, would like to steer clear of the number of new infections. Because the absolute number of infections for medical professionals only says how many were infected and not how many were really sick. “
Streeck advocates “conscious normalcy”: everyone with a difficult course should receive the best possible care, but at the same time we have to start “living with the virus.”
Hospitalizations for coronavirus in Austria
In Austria, according to data from the Ministry of Health this Tuesday (9 am), 387 normal beds and 101 intensive care beds are occupied with Covid 19 cases. By comparison, there are 8,496 confirmed coronavirus cases that are not hospitalized. Since the beginning of April, the occupancy of intensive care beds has decreased steadily and has increased again since the beginning of September.
