During the day (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), 21 corona cases were added, so Carinthia has 1,085 people who have tested positive since the start of the pandemic. Ten of the current new infections can be assigned to the St. Veit district, but none to the nursing home (see below) or BG / BRG St. Veit. The class at BG / BRG St. Veit will be closed until October 10, so far testing has revealed no more infections.
The ten new infections in the St. Veit district are related to two families (eight cases) who were originally infected in the professional setting and a married couple.
There is no other case in the Hermagor group. Two of the 21 new cases are in the city of Klagenfurt and Klagenfurt Land, six in the city of Villach and one in Spittal.
Völkermarkt turns orange
It is now also known that in addition to the Hermagor district, the Völkermarkt district will also be set to orange (Corona traffic light). That happens tomorrow. In the two groups of kindergartens in the Völkermarkt district, 32 people are currently corona-positive.

Two infections were reported today in a nursing home in the St. Veit district. They are residents. All residents and employees are tested here and contacts are being traced.
New case in the Globasnitz cluster
The group around the Globasnitz kindergarten has also grown by one case (a total of 21 people who tested positive). This is a primary school child of the relatives of an already known case. The child was not in school, however, he is in domestic isolation. Therefore, there is no danger at school.
