PINKAFELD. The state of Burgenland is taking new measures in the area of nursing homes and nursing homes to contain the spread of Covid-19. After several residents of the nursing home in Pinkafeld tested positive for Covid-19 using a rapid antigen test, the center’s staff and residents were tested.
During this test, all 54 cases of infection were identified, reports Burgenland state Coronavirus coordination staff. 38 residents and 16 employees are affected.

The health authority and the operator of the facility immediately took all necessary measures. Infected residents and employees are in officially ordered home quarantine.
Currently, infected residents are grouped in the home so that they can be cared for separately from other residents. The ban on visiting the house has been in effect since last week. Additionally, employees have only been wearing full protective clothing since the first incident. All 16 employees who tested positive are in home quarantine.
