A new record for new coronavirus infections was reported in Vienna on Thursday: 2,151 positive results were recorded, as announced by the city’s medical crisis team. However, there were numerous late registrations due to technical problems.

According to available data, a total of 43,679 coronavirus infections have so far been recorded in Vienna. Additionally, there are now 402 Covid-19-related deaths in the federal capital. An 89-year-old woman and three men between the ages of 65 and 82 died of coronavirus infection or as a consequence. 29,427 people are now healthy again.
Yesterday, Wednesday, 7,727 tests were carried out: a total of 703,312 tests have been carried out in Vienna since the start of the pandemic.
