Due to the fact that the spread of the corona virus has barely slowed down, Austrians will again receive travel warnings for almost every country in the world as of Saturday.

According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, only Australia, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Uruguay and the Vatican are excluded. Therefore, travel advisories apply to all tourist trips and other unnecessary trips, including family visits. Business travel, travelers, and professional groups working across borders are also exempt from the provisions.

Travel warning: quarantine when entering Austria

Starting at 00:00 on Saturday, everyone entering Austria must immediately begin a 10-day quarantine. This does not apply to travelers from the 10 states mentioned. Quarantine can be terminated earlier with a negative PCR or antigen test, which is possible on at least the fifth day.
