VOITSBERG. It’s rumbling in the Voitsberg district. The reason is reports that the Austrian Crown Commission is proposing to the federal government that the districts of Voitsberg and Leoben go red. In Voitsberg, according to the latest update, 99 people tested positive for Corona, other sources speak of 103. The problem is the rate of increase in recent days, because a week ago there were more than 60 cases.
BH Hannes Peißl has nothing official yet. “On Thursday afternoon I find out what color is applied to the Voitsberg district. On Friday morning, all the district captains whose districts are orange or red have a video conference with the Ministry of Health, where they discuss the situation”. Then, the final measures will be determined in coordination with the state medical direction, which will then be applied as of Monday.
The week before, the Voitsberg district was orange, but all the schools in the district were yellow.
