Corona traffic light – Amstetten district jumps from yellow to red

Groups around the care and support center in St. Peter (according to the state, meanwhile, 30 infected people) and in Neuhofen an der Ybbs contributed to this. The starting point should have been the primacy on October 11. Presumably the participants did not maintain the necessary distance afterwards. Four new Neuhofen infections were reported at night, so there are now 32.

In Amstetten, the number of infected people increased from Wednesday 15 to Thursday 26. The state of Lower Austria announced on Thursday. “Relative to the population of around 24,000, this value is in the middle.
I ask all citizens to keep their distance, wear mouth and nose protection, and disinfect their hands as often as possible. In this way we can ensure that the number of infections in Amstetten remains stable, “says Mayor Christian Haberhauer.

The curfew does not come forward

What the red light means is not yet clear in detail. However, the state of Lower Austria announced today that even in regions with “very high risk” the curfew will not be brought forward from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. because infections in the gastroesophageal area would have decreased.

Visits to hospitals are limited to deliveries, nurseries, and meetings with people in palliative care. In the future, two daily visits of a maximum of two people each will be allowed in the care and support centers. In cases that are particularly worthy of consideration, such as residents receiving hospice care, additional individual permits may be issued.

Kindergartens must remain open. However, the recommendation is made to all parents who can care for children at home.
