Preventing the spread of the coronavirus and its mutations – that is the top priority of the state of Tirol. To achieve this, the country has already presented a comprehensive package of measures. In addition to expanding the range of tests, especially in the Schwaz district, and intensifying contact tracing, it also includes increased protection in ski areas.
As part of the implementation, after coordination with the federal government, the “Ordinance on additional measures to combat the spread of Covid-19 in the ski areas of Tyrol” is now available. It came into force on Monday, February 15. This means that all people who use the ski slopes during operating hours must have a negative Covid test result that is no more than 48 hours old (PCR or antigen). People who have been infected with the coronavirus in the last six months do not need one, but a medical certificate.
