There were 2,540 new infections with the corona virus in Austria on Thursday.

In 24 hours, 2,540 confirmed coronavirus infections were added in Austria from Wednesday to Thursday.
So far, 374,730 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (January 7, 2021, 9:30 a.m.), 6,568 people in Austria have died from the consequences of the corona virus and 346,901 have recovered. Currently, 2,354 people are in hospital treatment for the coronavirus and 373 of them are in intensive care units.
New corona infections in the federal states:
- Burgenland: 85
- Carinthia: 284
- Lower Austria: 522
- Upper Austria: 273
- Salzburg: 378
- Steiermark: 264
- Tyrol: 142
- Vorarlberg: 150
- Vienna: 442
