There were 1,131 new coronavirus infections in Austria on Friday.

In a 24-hour comparison, 1,131 new infections with the coronavirus were recorded in Austria on Friday (at 9:30 am). 392 cases are in Vienna.
So far, 53,188 positive results have been obtained in Austria. As of today (October 9, 2020, 9:30 a.m.), 842 people in Austria have died as a result of the coronavirus and 42,039 have recovered. Currently, 508 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 103 of them are in intensive care units.
On average, during the past seven days, there were 973 new infections each day; the day before the seven-day incidence was 910.
New corona infections in the federal states:
- Burgenland: 23
- Carinthia: 27
- Lower Austria: 223
- Upper Austria: 163
- Salzburg: 58
- Steiermark: 90
- Tyrol: 116
- Vorarlberg: 39
- Vienna: 392
The Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES) has taken over the operation of the panel from the Ministry of Health and it is now available at the URL covid19-dashboard.ages.at. The dashboard extracts its data exclusively from the Epidemiological Population Registry (EMS) and is updated once a day at 2:00 pm
