17 intensive care beds remain for Covid patients

Health authorities in the state of Salzburg on Wednesday reported 16 deaths related to Covid-19 in the last 48 hours. As the state media center reported, the total number of deaths has risen to 84.
The age of the last deceased was not available at the moment. So far, 15,700 people in the city and state of Salzburg have tested positive for the corona virus, and 637 new infections have been recorded since yesterday morning alone. According to EMS, there are currently 6,452 people infected, an increase of 108. Currently, 5,754 people are quarantined at home or have restricted traffic as contact persons.
31 free intensive care beds in Salzburg
The number of corona patients in hospitals continues to increase. According to the state media center, there are currently 218 Covid 19 patients in the hospital, 24 of them in the intensive care unit. For comparison: 208 patients with corona were treated in hospitals yesterday, 27 of them in the intensive care unit. There are currently a total of 138 intensive care beds available in the federal state of Salzburg, 83 of which are occupied by non-Covid patients and 24 by Covid patients. “This means that 31 intensive care beds are still available, 17 of which are intended for Covid patients.”
Most of the deaths in Pongau
As for coronavirus-related deaths, 32 people died in Pongau, 21 in Flachgau, ten in Pinzgau, nine in Tennengau and the city of Salzburg, and three in Lungau.
