According to media reports, the son of the current US president, Donald Trump Junior, has been infected with the corona virus. He has no symptoms and has been quarantined, a spokesman said. A corona test came back positive at the beginning of the week, broadcasters CBS and CNN, as well as the “New York Times” reported Friday night (local time), citing the spokesperson.

The 42-year-old had actively supported his father, Donald Trump, in the election campaign before the Nov.3 vote. He was also at a party at the White House on election night, after which media reports said that several people had been infected with the corona virus, including Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows. The photos showed that almost no guests were wearing a mask.

Donald Trump himself had to be treated in hospital for several days in October due to a coronavirus infection. At the time, his wife Melania and their youngest son Barron were also infected.
