A case of crown occurred in the Maccabi Tel Aviv team a few days before the first leg in the Champions League playoff against Red Bull Salzburg.
As reported by Israeli media, Dan Glazer tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday. The midfielder played in a 1-0 win against Dinamo Brest on Wednesday night. Maccabi confirmed the reports that night.
All players and coaches have been retested, according to the Israeli champions. According to the announcement, Glazer is in self-isolation.
The 23-year-old was named Player of the Year by fans last season. Glazer had undergone a test after his brother, who also played as a professional soccer player, tested positive for the corona virus. His tests before the game against Brest were negative according to media reports.
