Red Bull Salzburg reports on a crown case shortly before the start of the new season.
As the “cops” report, one player, whose name is not mentioned, tested positive for Corona on Monday. The check, which is mandatory for Salzburgs after their return from a trip abroad, which is also necessary for the next match of the first round of the ÖFB Cup in Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz, showed a slightly positive value.
The player had no contact with teammates after his return and currently has no symptoms. It immediately went into quarantine, further tests will be conducted in the coming days.
In accordance with the Bundesliga’s COVID-19 prevention concept, they or the Austrian Football Association and the responsible health authority were informed.
The tests of all the other members of the team were negative, according to the club, preparations for Wednesday’s cup match will be carried out without further restrictions.
