Corona: 537 new infections in 24 hours in Vorarlberg – Coronavirus –

In Vorarlberg there are currently more than 4,000 active corona cases, more than 6,000 recovered, and thus more than 10,000 confirmed cases.

537 new infections arrived in 24 hours on Wednesday
in Vorarlberg. That’s almost double what it was on Tuesday (when there were 272 new infections).

The number of active corona cases increased by 370 people to 4,039. The number of people recovered increased from 167 to 6,085. Vorarlberg now has 10,181 people who had or have Covid-19. 57 people died as a result of the disease.

Districts

Most of the cases are in the Bregenz district with 1,414, followed by the Dornbirn district with 1,114 cases. Behind them are the Feldkirch district with 976 infected people and the Bludenz district with 506 cases. So far 142,514 tests have been carried out in Vorarlberg.

Municipalities

At the community level, there are still the most active corona cases in Dornbirn (560). They are followed by Lustenau (356), Bregenz (291) and Feldkirch (284).

Seven-day incidence

According to the Crown Board of the Agency for Health and Food Safety (AGES), Vorarlberg had the worst value of all Austrian federal states for the seven-day incidence on Wednesday per 100,000 inhabitants. With 773 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days, Vorarlberg was ahead of Upper Austria (737) and Tyrol (680).

The Austrian average for the seven-day incidence was 496 on Wednesday.

The four districts of Vorarlberg show a seven-day incidence of more than 600 on Wednesday. Vorarlberg’s “hotspot” is still the Dornbirn district with an incidence of 920.
