The week begins with comparatively good news. 382 new infections were recorded from Sunday to Monday, 250 people recovered during this period. A total of 9342 tests were performed.
Sadly, there is a new death to mourn. This increases the number of deaths to 757 since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.
So far there have been 33,541 positive results in Austria. As of September 14, 2020, 9:30 a.m., 757 people in Austria had died as a result of the coronavirus and 27,010 had recovered. Currently, 255 people are in hospital treatment due to the coronavirus and 47 of them are in intensive care units.
New infections in the federal states
The new infections are distributed among the federal states as follows: Burgenland 3, Carinthia 7, Lower Austria 60, Upper Austria 58, Salzburg 2, Styria 34, Tyrol 21, Vorarlberg 34 and Vienna 163.
