SPÖ and NEOS presented their loading list for the “Ibiza” investigative committee on Tuesday. In addition to the expected “guests” Heinz-Christian Strache and Johann Gudenus, there are all kinds of prominent names in it.
The beginning in the U-Committee are the two “main actors of Ibiza”, the former head of FPÖ and former vice chancellor Heinz Christian Strache and the former FPÖ politician Johann Gudenus. Also, “Falter” editor-in-chief Florian Klenk should be invited to start as he had seen the “Ibiza” video. The parties assume that a survey will be possible because the subject is not covered by editorial secrecy. The trio is scheduled to be interviewed on June 4.
Very prominent names
Afterward, numerous featured names can still be found on the announced upload list. On June 5, billionaire Heidi Goess-Horten, Novomatic founder Johann Graf, and gun giant Gaston Glock, whose names or companies in the “Ibiza” video had been mentioned in connection with the donations (denied) from FPÖ, they would join Committee U and be interviewed, Kai Jan Krainer (SPÖ) and Stephanie Krisper (NEOS) said at a press conference on Tuesday.
In the following days, several representatives of Casinos Austria and others in the gaming industry are supposed to shed light on suspected mailmen in the “Casinos Affair”. It will be no less explosive from June 24: the list includes the names of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz (ÖVP) and former Finance Minister Hartwig Löger (ÖVP) and a day later Finance Minister Gernot Blümel (ÖVP).
It is not clear who actually appears
In between and after, other FPÖ politicians, as well as powerful supervisory boards and company members should be available to provide information. It is unclear who will actually appear on committee U. The SPÖ and NEOS want to submit the request for office to the National Council on Wednesday. On the committee, where ÖVP and the Greens make up the majority, the list has to be dropped first. The other parties may also invite witnesses.
