The Vorchdorf fire brigade was alerted around 5 pm The accident occurred on the western motorway in the direction of Salzburg shortly before the Laakirchen Ost motorway exit, at the Lindach service station.
Based on initial information, there is apparently a collision between two cars. No further details are known about the course of the accident.

Police confirmed late Monday that a 25-year-old from Wels-Land had died. Another person from Wörgl in Tyrol was injured in the accident. After first aid by the helicopter team of the emergency doctor, she was taken to the Salzkammergutklinikum Vöcklabruck with the rescue service. The fire brigade supported the rescue measures and carried out the cleaning works together with the towing company. The western highway was closed for about two and a half hours in the direction of Salzburg. Traffic was diverted through the rest stop.
