The Russian cross-country team experienced a night of absolute horror shortly before the turn of the year. His bus fell backwards into a frozen lake.
The cross country team was heading from Zurich (Switzerland) to Livigno (Italy), then the accident happened. The minibus spun off the lane and crashed into an icy warehouse.
The good news: The athletes were only slightly injured in the bus accident, and they were even very lucky. As reported by “Blick”, the Russians’ car had circled several times, then slipped almost 50 meters and got stuck in a depot.
Because the surface was partially icy, the vehicle did not sink immediately, half got stuck in the ice. In this way, the athletes were able to free themselves independently and were immediately supplied by the emergency services.
One employee of the service is said to have suffered a concussion, the rest of the team comes away with minor injuries and horror.
