The next task in the Salzburg monster program is Saturday: the “policemen” will be invited in Vienna-Favoriten (at 5:00 pm on the LIVE ticker).
Just three days after the disappointing draw against Lok Moscow and three days before the away game against Atlético Madrid, Jesse Marsch plans three points against a “much improved” Austria. With regard to Madrid, however, some players will be saved.
“Dosage is important in games and in training units. So it will be the case that we will rotate a bit against Austria and new players will be deployed,” Marsch said before the game in the fifth round. The American is aiming for victory number five in five games played.
Austria has to “exceed the limit” for more than 90 minutes
Austria wants to continue its good start to the season and take the people of Mozart’s city to travel. But everything has to fit together for that, according to Austria coach Peter Stöger. Phases in which your computer has not yet presented itself as stable should be avoided. “We have to push each and everyone to the limit for more than 90 minutes.”
Stöger explains: “We have the ability to carry something with us.” But the “policemen” have to play along: “Salzburg cannot have the best day, we need superior performance.”
Even before the game there are reasons to be happy with the Viennese. They can receive 3,000 spectators in the Generali-Arena after the government regulation published Thursday night does not take effect until midnight Sunday. In Austria, all the levers went into action immediately. “The cell phone was shortly before the explosion around 10:00 pm,” reports head coach Stöger.
The list of violet injuries doesn’t get any shorter
The announced rotation of Salzburg leaves the Austrian coach cold. Stöger does not expect any deterioration in the quality of the teacher. He’s used to “living with that beat.” The former Dortmund coach believes that the psychological component is more important than the physical.
For six league games, the Viennese have been waiting for a win against the Mozartstadters. Five of them were lost, the last 2-2 in Vienna in February. Marsch sees Austria as “much improved” under Stöger and speaks politely of a “great challenge”.
Austria still has concerns about injuries. Vesel Demaku suffered a shoulder dislocation at the Wiener Sportclub, Dominik Fitz and Alon Turgeman should start team training in the coming weeks.
Christoph Schösswendter, who signed up on Monday, is not yet an option. On Friday he will form the Young Violets’ central defense in the 2nd division with long-injured Christian Schoissengeyr to pick up the match practice.
